Charlie Mann
Founder and Executive Director
Charlie Mann worked as a classroom instructor teaching foreign languages and English for Students of Other Languages for a total of 25 years. He is married and is a father to four grown children and has 4 grandchildren. He acquired efficacy in American Sign Language to teach Spanish at Gallaudet University. He was a classroom specialist in foreign languages and ESOL (English for Students of Other Languages). Seeing the dire need of the many in his community, workplace and beyond, he sought out resources of food to give to those he learned were struggling and in need. This evolved into a non profit organization which has been providing not only fresh food to upwards to 20,000 recipients each month, but also clothing, toys, books, furniture, household goods, etc. for nearly 40 years. Charlie has a contagious passion for eliminating societal waste and putting it back into the hands of those in need in the local community.
Winfield Clark is a Christian husband and father. He is currently a Regional Operations Excellence Leader for Accumen, a healthcare consulting firm aimed at transforming the industry. Winfield has over 15 years of multi-industry experience in operations leadership, continuous improvement, business transformation, leadership coaching, and consulting. Winfield also serves on the University of Richmond Customer Experience Advisory Board. He is the founder of Godstrong LLC. He is a co-founder of Gods Way Virtual Ministry and a member of the Next Level Speaking Academy.
When Winfield joined Celestial Manna in 2020, he was searching for a faith-based organization where he could volunteer his talents to improve the lives of those in need. Winfield is dedicated to helping Celestial Manna achieve its vision. In his spare time he mentors youth, is active in church ministry, and provides inspirational speaking services. When he is not serving, he enjoys fitness, food, traveling, and restoring his classic car.

Judy Mann has been on the board as secretary and treasurer since its inception. In 2020, she relinquished these responsibilities to become Vice President.
Judy was a teacher’s assistant for 6 years in private school education where she was responsible for supporting reading and writing instruction and classroom management. She received numerous accolades and rewards for her passionate love for children and their success in learning. She had/has 4 children to whom she dedicated her motherly time until they were out of the home. She home schooled 2 of the youngest children for 12 years with such success that all 4 of her children are successful professionals in their careers. In 2003 she assumed a responsibility as a bookkeeper for a growing non-denominational congregation which progressed into the role as the executive administrative assistant. Her responsibilities include being the receptionist, oral/written communications, database management, coordination of all events, scheduling, etc.

Pastor Mike is a husband, father, pastor, counselor, and educational teacher. His journey with Celestial Manna began in January 2021 when he joined the Board of Directors and served on the Prayer Ministry. He is a church planter and career educator working with children in disadvantaged areas of the DC Metro region, as well as building bridges for support for needy families through ministry work in Charles County, Maryland. Pastor Mike has served on numerous boards and volunteered in hospitals, jails, homeless shelters, and other organizations.

Jeremy Mann
Communications Liaison
In 2006, Jeremy Mann founded Hands in Motion LLC, an American Sign Language interpreting agency based out of Washington DC which serves the Deaf community nationally. He is knowledgeable in both ASL and Deaf culture and has over 14 years of experience as a CEO. Jeremy also serves on the advisory board for 2 other organizations and volunteers regularly interpreting for the Deaf community.
Kathleen Lewis
Board Secretary
Kathleen is the Administrative Director of Laboratory Services & Pathology at LifeBridge Health-Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, MD. She devoted over 17 years to providing quality healthcare to all. She serves as the Programming Committee Director for the Maryland Association for Healthcare Executives (MAHCE), the former secretary for the National Association of Health Executives, the Baltimore Chapter Advisory Board, and the Admissions Committee for the Medical Technology Program at LBH Sinai Hospital She also sits on the Board for RxPartnerships. Katheleen recently joined Premier’s Lab Resource Committee where she is a co-chair. She enjoys working
with Celestial Manna as the Board Secretary. In her spare time, Kathleen loves to travel, bake, play piano, read, run, and play tennis. A fun fact for Kathleen is that she also plays violin, oboe, and the alto saxophone.

Deb Hopkins has a passion for serving others. After searching for a faith-based organization where her education, experience, and gifts would make a difference, she joined Celestial Manna in 2019 to lead programs and special projects. She oversees projects in both Operations and Marketing. Soon after joining CM, Deb developed and expanded a more robust and productive marketing team. She brings over 20 years of leadership and management experience and has a successful track record of delivering efficient and effective solutions across a wide range of industries including banking & finance, communications, government, real estate & property management, entertainment, and the non-profit sector. Deb hopes Celestial Manna will make a lasting impact on communities around the world and inspire others to get involved in solving food insecurity for all.
Deb is also a successful entrepreneur and mentors other small businesses. Outside of work, she enjoys camping, sampling delicious ethnic foods, and spending time spoiling her (and other people’s) fur-babies.

After 30 years of working in Montgomery County Public Schools, Monika Roberts decided it was time to shift her focus in how she made herself and others happy. In 2017 Monika joined forces with Celestial Manna as the Fundraising Coordinator. The mission of Celestial Manna has become a passion of Monika’s and a focus on her event planning activity. To share the harvest with those in need is something that is near and dear to her heart. Monika retired in 2018 and started an event planning business and work with Celestial Manna. Her passion for serving those in need is apparent in the fundraising adventures Celestial Manna is participating in now and the future.

Mike Mitchell
Finance Team Advisor & Staff Writer
Mike Mitchell has spent close to 40 years working as a civilian program manager and logistician for the US Air Force. His career has taken him from his native Oklahoma to Germany, Massachusetts, Virginia, Pennsylvania and now Ohio. In each location, he's become involved as a community and church volunteer. He's also been a freelance writer for operations and marketing materials for small businesses and local charities. Mike lives and works in Dayton Ohio with his wife of 30+ years and house dog. His daughter and her husband are in graduate school in Virginia with their 2 children, and his son is working in Houston, TX. Mike joined Celestial Manna in December 2020 to help with writing reports, newsletters, and fundraising documents.
Murielle Clark
Director of Operations
Murielle Clark is a Christian wife and mother. She is currently a Program Manager for the federal government, providing instruction and training for information security needs. Murielle has over 15 years of experience in teaching and program management for the non-profit and government sectors. She has served as an English As A Second Language instructor for Montgomery County Maryland residents from foreign countries. Murielle is a co-founder of Gods Way Virtual Ministry.
Murielle was searching for an opportunity to sow into the lives of others when she joined Celestial Manna in 2020. When she is not serving, she is active in church ministry, with a specialty in Liturgical and Praise Dance. She also volunteers with the Young Haitian Professionals group. When she is not serving, she enjoys traveling, fitness, food, and a good book.
“Pat” has over 30 years of experience in nursing home billing and business administration. She simultaneously cared for seniors in their own homes for 15+ years. As a retired Christian woman, Pat enjoys spending time with friends and family, short trips and engaging in meaningful projects. In 2017, she started with Celestial Manna as a volunteer picking up and delivering food. In 2021, she became the executive assistant to the founder.

Kathryn Cherrie
Executive Assistant
Kathryn, originally from Trinidad & Tobago, is a retired World Bank employee with 26 years of service. As her faith grew, so did her desire to serve the Lord especially with helping the homeless and providing food to those in need. She has also been involved with her church and worked in several ministries. As a counselor with the Boy Scouts of America, she enjoyed teaching and mentoring the scouts and was very proud when her son became an Eagle Scout. She was an active PTSA member in the Montgomery County public school system and held the position of President both at elementary and high school levels.
Kathryn joined Celestial Manna in 2022 as an Executive Assistant, and while she is excited about working with some very gifted and committed volunteers, she also looks forward to seeing how God will grow this ministry exponentially.
Lily Huang has 4 years of design experience helping businesses advance their reach with social media and websites. Currently, she works at General Motors designing apps for their infotainment systems. She graduated from the University of Maryland with a double degree in Graphic Design and Information Science. She is very excited to help spread Celestial Manna's mission of helping those in need and reducing food waste.

Levente Szego
SEO Manager
Levente Szego brings 15 years of marketing and product management experience to Celestial Manna’s Marketing team. He started his career in his native Hungary after getting his MBA. He worked for Bristol-Myers Squibb and the German Hartmann group, two large international pharmaceutical and medical device companies active in Hungary, before moving to the US, where he worked for 8 years at a small medical device business, Roboz Surgical. Recently, he has been working as a consultant on digital marketing projects.
Levente spends much of his free time on the road with his family as both his children are involved in competitive travel sports. He also enjoys being active. He is a top-level veteran fencer with 2 USA Championship titles and also likes riding his mountain bike or hiking with his wife and dogs. He enjoys music and loves going to concerts: whether indoors or outdoors, classical or modern electronic, Levente will aim to be there.
Giovanni Hurtado, originally from El Salvador, an Engineer in Computer Science, has been serving Celestial Manna (CM) since 2018 mainly in the development of the website. He worked as a professor and director of the computer school at Don Bosco University (1994-2016); he had the opportunity to serve his country in the Supreme Court of Justice of El Salvador (2002-2016) in the computer science department, developing a variety of technology projects applied to justice, he was also the co-founder and evangelist of Free-Software movements. Mr. Hurtado is currently developing the website of the El Salvador Aerospace Institute and in the United States he has supported the website of the Latino Childcare Association. In his spare time he spends with his family quality time in cooking, reading the Bible, watching movies, walking in the park, and occasionally going to restaurants to try food from other cultures.
