Begun in 1986 as one man's personal efforts to feed the hungry, Celestial Manna has grown to a volunteer organization that now

feeds upwards of 500 people every week. Staffed entirely by volunteers, and funded through charitable donations, this outreach program

continues to provide for  those who would otherwise fall through the holes in the safety net.

Our Mission

bulletTo provide food and clothing for those in need.
bulletTo preserve the resources of the Earth by re-distributing food, clothing, and other goods which would otherwise go to waste.
bulletTo show forth the love of God to His children through the generosity of donors and the faithful service of Celestial Manna volunteers.

Our Profile

Celestial Manna is a 501(c)3 organization operating under the guidance of Scripture:

"He it is who sees justice done for the orphan and the widow, who loves the stranger and gives him

food and clothing. (Love the stranger then, for you were once strangers in Egypt.)"    (Deuteronomy 10:18-19, NJB)

"...  there will never cease to be poor people in the country, and that is why I am giving you this command:
Always be open handed with your brother, and with anyone in your country who is in need and poor.
"
(Deuteronomy 15:11, NJB)

"Then it will be their turn to ask, “Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty, a stranger or lacking clothes,
sick or in prison, and did not come to your help?”
Then he will answer, “In truth I tell you, in so far as you
neglected to do this to one of the least of these, you neglected to do it to me."
(Matthew 25:44-45, NJB)

Our Methods

"How does it all work? How does it get to these people?"

Stores give goods                 TO      Volunteers who then give the food          TO                 Those who need it.

Volunteers drive to district stores and bring the donations to distribution points such as parking lots, apartment buildings, and homes. Distributors then reach out to members of
their community and invite them to enjoy the generosity of those local businesses. Volunteers benefit by the donations and their tax deductibles. The community benefits by receiving
free food as well as fellowship and friendship.
