Doctors are increasingly recognizing the connection between health and hunger, experts said. “You can’t be healthy, you can’t be able to stave off chronic diseases if you’re not eating healthy food,” says Acacia Bamberg Salatti of the Center for Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships.

Celestial Manna is hitting at this problem in America one person at a time. Families are able to feed their children everyday now because of the community outreach Celestial Manna is providing the hungry.
Please donate to this cause and help your local community. We are feeding +6,000 individuals every week through our network of volunteers.
Celestial Manna is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization started in 1986 by Charlie Mann. Our primary mission is to feed the hungry by providing them with free food from locally donated resources. What started as a means to feed his own family now provides weekly support for +6,000 people in the state of Maryland and northern Virginia.
Celestial Manna currently provides support to people in dire need of food, clothing, furniture, toys and household goods. Because the business is based in Derwood Maryland, the initial effort was focused to the Washington DC and Baltimore areas. However, the growth that transpired saw branches springing up in other places all over Maryland and Northern Virginia. We have also implemented donations programs overseas, reaching countries in Africa, Central, South America, and the Caribbean.
We help people from all walks of life: blue-collar workers, low-income families, single-parent households, and diverse ethnicities. We gauge and are rewarded for our labor of love by the smiles and personal testimonies of the countless families we have helped in our communities.
