President and CEO of Celestial Manna. Worked as a classroom instructor teaching foreign languages and English for Students of Other Languages for a total of 25 years. He is married and is a father to four grown children and has 4 grandchildren. He acquired efficacy in American Sign Language to teach Spanish at Gallaudet University. He was a classroom specialist in foreign languages and ESOL (English for Students of Other Languages). Seeing the dire need of the many in his community, workplace and beyond, he sought out resources of food to give to those he learned were struggling and in need. This evolved into a non profit organization which provides not only fresh food to upwards to 6000 recipients each month, but also clothing, toys, books, furniture, household goods, etc. for more than 20 years. Charlie has a contagious passion for eliminating societal waste and putting it back into the hands of those in need in the local community.
Is the bookkeeper for Celestial Manna. She has been on the board as secretary and treasurer since its inception. Judy was a teacher’s assistant for 6 years in private school education where she was responsible for supporting reading and writing instruction and classroom management. She received numerous accolades and rewards for her passionate love for children and their success in learning. She had/has 4 children to whom she dedicated her motherly time until they were out of the home. She home schooled 2 of the youngest children for 12 years with such success that all 4 of her children are successful professionals in their careers. In 2003 she assumed a responsibility as a bookkeeper for a growing non-denominational congregation which progressed into the role as the executive administrative assistant. Her responsibilities include being the receptionist, oral/written communications, database management, coordination of all events, scheduling, etc.
Paul Baker has volunteered with Celestial Manna for well over ten years. He joined the Board of Celestial Manna in 2012. Paul has served as a Federal employee for over twenty-five years, and taught freshman composition at Montgomery College for over ten years. Prior to Federal service, Paul served six years in the US Navy. He also coaches and teaches swimming, and he leads a prison ministry every weekend. In addition to his servant-hearted leadership, Paul brings valuable technical and management experience to the Board.
Social Media Manager and Web-Master. Our specialist in Advertising, Marketing and Communications. Her experience covers more than 17 years as a Creative Director, at prestigious Ad Agencies. Some of her assignments were responsible for brands like Verizon, Johnson & Johnson, Dove, among many others. Other achievements, are several local and international Creativity Campaigns awards. Elizabeth understands the ins and outs of the food industry as she was an owner, of a restaurant in the Dominican Republic. She is trained in Graphic Design and 2 components of Blackbaud Software, for social media and fundraising. Since coming to the United States, Elizabeth has been working with Celestial Manna in communications, graphic design, and developing an international clothing donation ministry. In 2011 she published her first book, a novel called “Entre Dos Reyes” and is the CEO of EE Scocial Media.
